Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole digital tools gaining momentum

Information updated on 17/10/18

Get ready for more collaboration! Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole is opening its websites to local stakeholders so that they can include information about their own agendas and events.

Montpellier fait le pari de l’entrepreneuriat innovant en accueillant des pionniers du numérique et de l'innovation.
The Entrepreneurship in Montpellier and French Tech sites are heading in that direction, as are two new sites dedicated to the Business and Innovation Centre (BIC) and Montpellier Health Capital. Next, it’s your e-news newsletter’s turn to change.
Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole is giving its digital tools new momentum to better highlight local players. Our websites now include a collaborative dimension, with easy-to-use new features to encourage people to contribute. Entrepreneurs, investors, and project leaders are all invited to announce their events and share information about their activities.

All they have to do is open an account on the site and enter the information they want to publish, which must be approved by the webmaster,” explains the 3M marketing department.

The scope is vast, covering anything from innovations, to fund-raising, competitions, projects, and more. All sectors are welcome to participate, from digital activities to tourism, from agroecology to environment, not to mention health, food, and even cultural and creative industries.
Two websites have also been refreshed entirely: Entrepreneurship in Montpellier (“Entreprendre à Montpellier”) and French Tech. Two others were launched in late June. One is dedicated to the Business and Innovation Centre (BIC). Its goal is to increase exposure for the innovative companies assisted by the world’s second-ranked incubator (according to UBI Global classification). The other is dedicated to Montpellier Health Capital. That site highlights an excellence sector associating research, teaching, and businesses, in efforts to support innovation in the medical sector and foster international development.
The e-newsletter, which has about 10,000 subscribers today, is also going to be revamped. Twice a month, instead of just once, the e-newsletter will combine news from Montpellier Métropole with information provided by companies in the territory.

The new format will feature business news to better promote local projects and stakeholders, while also highlighting Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole services and encouraging networking and productive synergies.
